One of five CNG Cascadia 113 day cabs that are being placed with dealers to allow customers to try out natural gas in their operations. All five are powered by the new 12-liter ISX12G.
Saddle Creek's third generation CNG tractors feature a lighter back-of-cab fuel tank cabinet as well as a new saddle tank, giving them a practical range of 700 miles between fueling.
Maintenance time is greatly reduced with the CNG saddle tank design. Developed by Agility, it places all high-pressure filters behind an access door so they can be changed quickly. It also features two CNG fill connections for both fast and timed fueling systems.
Calling it "proof-of-concept," this 114SD vocational Freightliner is powered by the new 12- liter ISX12 G. The company currently offers a variety of 114SD models with the 9-liter Cummins ISL G.
Continuing to expand its natural gas offerings, Freightliner Trucks will add a sleeper Cascadia model later this year. On the vocational side, it's showing off a 114SD powered by the 12-liter Cummins ISX12G.
