Eicher Pro 6000 Series trucks launched in India

The Pro 6000 Series includes a range of heavy-duty trucks with gross vehicle weights ranging from 16 – 40 tonnes.

VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Limited, has launched the Pro 6000 Series of trucks in India. The Pro 6000 Series includes a range of heavy-duty trucks with gross vehicle weights ranging from 16 – 40 tonnes. Part of Eicher’s new-age trucks, the 6000 Series promises higher returns for owners thanks to better fuel-efficiency, more productivity, driver comfort, easy maintenance and intelligent systems.

The Eicher Pro 6000 Series includes the 6031 (31Tonne, 8×2) haulage, 6025 (25Tonne, 6X2) haulage and 6025T tipper (25Tonne, 6×4). The 6031 and the 6025 haulers are powered by a VEDX5 5-litre, 4-cylinder, 4-valve turbocharged diesel engine developing 213PS @ 2200 rpm and 825Nm @ 1200-1600 rpm which is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The 6025T tipper is powered by a VEDX8 7.7-litre, 6-cylinder, 4-valve turbocharged diesel engine developing 223PS @ 2200 rpm and 850Nm @ 1100-1700 rpm which is mated to a 9-speed manual transmission.

The highlights of the these trucks include an ergonomic cabin with features like a curved dashboard, tilt-and-telescopic adjustable steering, 6-way adjustable driver seat, multiple storage points and sleeping area (in the haulage trucks), cruise control, intelligent driver information centre with fuel-coaching feature, etc. The robustness of the truck and the extensive service network of Eicher will provide the peace of mind and efficient operations that truck owners desire.

Eicher is aiming at capturing a 15 per cent market share in the heavy-duty trucks segment in India and the Pro Series of trucks, including the 6000 Series, the company hopes will help it achieve the same.
