Desert testing the 2017 F-150 Raptor

Along a 1.028 mile desert track in the southwestern U.S., Ford Motor Co. recently put a prototype 2017 model F-150 Raptor pickup through its paces. Scheduled to enter commercial production in the fall of 2016, Ford said it will continue testing its 2017 model Raptor well into next year to ensure its off-road capabilities can handle a variety of harsh environments.
