Eaton upgrades FLEX remanufactured transmission line

July 6, 2015

Three new enhancements are being offered by Eaton Corp. for its “FLEX Reman” remanufactured transmission product line:

  • The introduction of 12 new part numbers, each with forward shift bar housings that complement the existing standard shift bar housing transmission offerings;
  • The addition of the RTO 16908LL 10-speed model, aimed at a variety of on/off-highway vocational applications;
  • The implementation of a new delivery policy that can provide same day shipments.

The company noted that the new models became available at the beginning of July and that all FLEX Reman orders received by 2 p.m. local time are shipped that day from one of Eaton’s 16 logistics centers in the U.S.

Bill Fouch, aftermarket marketing manager for the Eaton Vehicle Group, noted that because the FLEX Reman transmission lineup encompasses a wide range of torques and are shipped with no clutch housings, truck dealers are able to lower their parts inventories and still increase the availability of multiple remanufactured transmission models.

He added that FLEX Reman transmissions, with standard or forward shift housings, are available for a variety of the most popular Eaton transmissions including the FR 10-speed and RTLO 13- and 18-speed models.

All of them carry a two-year/unlimited miles base warranty, with optional extended protection plans also available.
