Thermo King is offering instant cash rebates of up to $100 to customers who purchase qualifying parts for Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration units from participating Thermo King dealers. The program, which runs through Sept. 28, 2007, includes case lots of belts and filters, and qualifying quantities of alternators, starters, injectors and water pumps, as well as EON batteries and Thermo King parts for Carrier units (PG Parts).

Covering the W42 and W62 models, the new plans offer different levels of warranty protection for up to 5 yr./100,000 mi. for gasoline-powered chassis and 5 yr./250,000 mi. for diesel-powered chassis.

NationaLease has a new website, www.nationaleasetruckrental.com, designed to enable businesses to search the company's entire U.S. network and then select the specific commercial truck model they seek to rent — all online. Customers can choose either to call the rental facility directly or submit an online form. With the online method, customers enter their city and state, or ZIP. Search results will list NationaLease member companies within a certain radius, display their address and phone number, and show a map with the option to get driving directions to the rental location. The program offers a national contract with centralized billing, eliminating the need to monitor separate contracts for each location.
Paccar Financial Services (PFS) has completed its acquisition of Truck Center Hauser GmbH in Germany. “This acquisition accelerates the launch of the PacLease brand in Europe and sets the stage for rapid deployment in Germany and other European countries,” said Ron Armstrong, Paccar vp.

Dana Mauritius, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dana Corp., has purchased from Dongfeng Motor Co. Ltd. 4% of the registered capital of Dongfeng Axle Co., a Chinese commercial vehicle axle manufacturer that will now be known as Dongfeng Dana Axle Co., Ltd. Under the agreement, Dana Mauritius, which paid about $5 million for this equity interest, has agreed to purchase an additional 46% equity interest in Dongfeng within the next three years for approximately $55 million.
