Hyundai Translead has released a new dry van trailer with an extended scuff rail to prevent forklift damage.

Hyundai Translead has released a new dry van trailer with an extended scuff rail to prevent forklift damage. If a forklift hits the lower inside rail of the HT Composite XT Dry Freight Van Trailer, it will hit the aluminum bottom rail and not the composite sidewall panels, reducing downtime, the company said.

According to Hyundai Translead, the trailers’ extruded aluminum bottom rail has an interior scuff height of 16 in., including a centrally-located external rib for extra stiffness and scrape resistance. The 101 ½-in. panel-to-panel interior width provides a larger cubic capacity, the company added.

In addition, the trailer comes standard with the HT Corrosion Resistance Package for additional protection, Hyundai Translead said.
