Kenworth names Wisconsin Kenworth Dealer of the Year, other award winners

Wisconsin Kenworth has been named the 2013 Kenworth Dealer of the Year for the U.S. and Canada. The announcement was made at the Kenworth Dealer Meeting, recently held in Seattle, WA.

The award is presented annually to the dealer achieving the highest standards for customer satisfaction and business operations.

“The 2013 Kenworth Dealer of the Year award is a very special achievement and a proud moment for Wisconsin Kenworth and our 500 employees,” said Jim Moeller, president of Wisconsin Kenworth. “We’re fortunate to offer The World’s Best heavy and medium duty trucks and we’re very driven and dedicated to provide The World’s Best support that customers expect and deserve. We especially thank our many loyal customers for their business.”

Kenworth also named Papé Kenworth its 2013 TRP All-Makes Dealer of the Year and Truck Enterprises Hagerstown in Maryland its 2013 Parts and Service Dealer of the Year.

In the past six years, Wisconsin Kenworth has earned three Kenworth Gold Awards and three Silver Awards. Wisconsin Kenworth is a division of CSM Companies, which operates nine Kenworth locations in Wisconsin and Michigan.

“Wisconsin Kenworth earned the Kenworth Dealer of the Year Award with outstanding performance and excellent customer service,” said Gary Moore, Kenworth general manager and PACCAR vice president. “Key factors of Wisconsin Kenworth’s success were excellent sales of the Kenworth T680, our newly released Kenworth T880 and the PACCAR MX-13 engine. They also have strong market share, exceptional and well-maintained facilities, and knowledgeable employees dedicated to serving customers.”

Wisconsin Kenworth was selected as Kenworth Dealer of the Year from among Kenworth’s five Gold Award winners for 2013. Other Gold Award winners are Custom Truck Sales, MHC Kenworth – Colorado, MHC Kenworth – Kansas City, and Papé Kenworth.

During the Kenworth Dealer Meeting, Kenworth also honored its 14 Silver Award winners for 2013: Amos Kenworth, Edmonton Kenworth, Inland Kenworth (U.S.), Kenworth Maska, Kenworth Northwest, Kenworth of Indianapolis, Kenworth of South Louisiana, Kenworth Sales Company, MHC Kenworth – Arkansas, NorCal Kenworth, Sahling Kenworth, Truck Enterprises Richmond, Truckworx Kenworth – Birmingham, and Worldwide Kenworth.

Kenworth also named its Medium Duty Dealer of the Year. The annual award recognizes outstanding leadership and dealership focus on growing Kenworth’s medium duty truck business, which features the Kenworth T170, T270, T370, T440 and T470 conventional trucks, and K270 and K370 cabovers.

Kenworth Sales Co. is the 2013 winner.

“This award exemplifies our employees’ diligent efforts to strengthen relationships with medium duty customers by learning their needs and providing medium trucks, parts, and service to meet and exceed those needs,” said Kyle Treadway, president of Kenworth Sales Co., which operates 20 dealerships in Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. “We’re proud to represent the Kenworth medium duty product in the Mountain West, and appreciate the support we receive from Kenworth and our fellow dealers.”

During 2013, Kenworth Sales Company captured market share by selling quality Kenworth medium duty conventional and cabover trucks to a diversified customer base, including small fleets and single operators. The dealer also added medium duty personnel, focused on medium duty product and sales training, and hosted customers at special Kenworth medium duty events.

The following dealers were also recognized at the meeting for achieving significant, milestone anniversaries (numbers of years in parentheses) as Kenworth dealers: Kenworth Quebec (25), Timmins Kenworth (25), Truckworx Kenworth (35), Wisconsin Kenworth (35), Sahling Kenworth (40), Youngstown Kenworth (40), Kenworth Mid-Iowa (45), and Kenworth of Pennsylvania (45).

During the meeting, Kenworth also named its 2014 Service Council. The council’s mission is to help promote service and product improvements to further enhance Kenworth’s World’s Best quality.

Kenworth also named Papé Kenworth its 2013 TRP All-Makes Dealer of the Year for the United States and Canada. The award recognizes the Kenworth dealer that provides the best support for TRP parts and service among the more than 345 Kenworth locations in the Kenworth dealer network. Papé Kenworth was recognized for achieving superior support by providing customers expert advice on a wide selection of TRP product offerings for trucks, trailers and buses, Kenworth said.

“TRP provides quality, long-lasting replacement parts made by manufacturers who maintain strict quality controls,” said David Danforth, general manager of Paccar Parts. “By helping customers choose the right TRP parts, Papé Kenworth employees help customers maintain higher vehicle utilization and minimum downtime.”

Papé Kenworth operates Central California locations in Bakersfield, French Camp (Stockton), Fresno, and Santa Maria; Oregon locations in Central Point (Medford), Coburg (Eugene), Klamath Falls, Portland, Redmond and Tangent; and a Washington state location in Kelso. The company’s headquarters is located in Eugene, OR. 

The 2013 Parts and Service Dealer of the Year for the U.S. and Canada is Truck Enterprises Hagerstown in Maryland. The award recognizes the Kenworth dealer that scores high in customer satisfaction and provides customers with the best parts and service support among the more than 345 dealerships in the Kenworth dealer network.

“Truck Enterprises Hagerstown uses the latest parts inventory control programs supported by Kenworth and Paccar Parts to provide the parts that customers need when they need them,” said Danforth. “During 2013, Truck Enterprises Hagerstown earned very high customer satisfaction scores. The division also offered skilled service support from technicians trained in every area to help keep their medium duty to heavy duty trucks up and running. Those technicians receive periodic training to keep them up-to-date with the latest advances on Kenworth trucks and the Paccar medium duty and heavy duty lines of engines, including the Paccar MX-13.” 

In addition to Truck Enterprises Hagerstown, Truck Enterprises also operates Kenworth dealerships in Chesapeake, Harrisonburg, Lynchburg, Manassas, Richmond, and Roanoke, Va.; and in Keyser, W.Va. The company celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2012.
