TRC says Bullet more efficient

Independent testing conducted by Transportation Research Center Inc. (TRC) showed the Sterling Bullet is more fuel-efficient than two similarly spec'd competitors, according to Sterling Trucks. The company reports the Bullet used between 14 and 23% less fuel than a 2008 Ford F550 with a Power Stroke diesel engine and a GM 5500C with a Duramax diesel engine during a joint TMC/SAE Fuel Consumption Test Procedure Type II test.

The Bullet, aimed at applications such as construction, utility and municipal services, is powered by a Cummins ISB 6.7L engine. It is offered as a regular cab with four wheelbases or as a quad cab with two wheelbases.
