Long wheelbase Class 3 Canter FE model available

Oct. 9, 2013

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America is now offering its Class 3 Canter FE125 cabover with a 169.3-in. wheelbase to accommodate bodies up to 20 ft. long.

With a 12,500 lb. GVWR and a body/payload capacity in its normal configuration of 7,095 lbs., the truck is ideal for urban delivery of high-bulking items like furniture, vending, clothing, etc., the company said.

The Class 3 FE125 is capable of accommodating the same rear body widths and heights as the company’s heavier Class 4 and 5 FE models.

“The new Canter FE125 with 169.3-in. wheelbase will give our customers another level of versatility as they work to satisfy their truck transport needs. At the same time, it will offer the low cost-of-ownership available on all of our other models—based on superior fuel economy, higher payload capacity and longer standard warranty than our medium-duty competitors,” said Todd Bloom, MFTA’s president and CEO.
