Fleetowner 3422 Rotary Lift Ar18 Sprinter Van

New lift available for range of vehicles

July 2, 2013

A new four-post alignment lift from Rotary Lift is easily adaptable to lift a variety of vehicles, from cars to Class 5 trucks.

The AR18 features two stainless steel turning radius gauges for use when performing alignments and is compatible with all brands and types of alignment instrumentation. The AR18 has a rated capacity of 18,000 lbs. One runway is adjustable by three inches to allow the lift to be narrowed or widened depending on the vehicle being serviced.

“The AR18’s ability to do it all means you won’t have to turn away customers or send out alignment work anymore,” said Doug Spiller, heavy-duty product manager for Rotary Lift. “The lift boasts a wide range of features, giving users the flexibility to use a single shop bay for multiple purposes. It can be utilized for repairs on everything from sedans and pickups to ambulances and day cabs.”

The lift can be set up to accommodate wheelbases as short as 63 in. and as long as 162 in. The extended-length model increases the max wheelbase capability up to 198 in.

According to Rotary Lift, the hydraulic cylinder and lifting mechanism on the AR18 are tucked under one of the lift’s runways, eliminating a potentially vehicle-damaging overhead obstruction. Two 9,000 lb.-capacity rolling jacks are included as standard equipment to enable wheels-free brake, tire, alignment and suspension work.

The AR18 features alignment turnplates and slots along the sides of the runways to accommodate an optional work step. Automatic ramp chocks engage when the lift is raised and strips of protective material have been added to the ramp bottoms to reduce noise and lessen the chance of floor damage, Rotary said.

The AR18 consists of modular components, making it easily adaptable to meet specific wheelbase needs.

“Four-post lifts simplify the alignment process, are easy to use, and help boost productivity,” said Spiller. “The AR18 comes with a non-skid surface for secure footing, half-inch steel cabling for durability and a patented lock management system for peace of mind.”
