LOUISVILLE, KY. More truck sizes will be available for F-Series Super Duty buyers starting this July, said Joe Castelli, director of commercial truck sales & marketing for Ford Motor Co.

This will bolster Ford’s flagship pickup by solidifying its market share and keeping sales strong. “We need to build the stuff the customer wants,” he explained during a press conference here at the Mid America Trucking Show. “Its part of our effort to make our lineup the best possible fit for them.”

Staring this summer, Ford plans to roll out 10 new model sizes for its F-Series Class 2 through 5 Super Duty trucks, Castelli said.

For the regular cab configuration, 60-in. cab-to-axle (CA) and 108-in. CA pickup bed lengths will become available for Ford’s F-550 Super Duty, for both 4x2 and 4x2 models. In the super cab configuration, the F-550 gets a 60-in. CA, with an 84-in. CA option available for the F-350, F-450, and F-550 – for both 4x2 or 4x4 models.

Finally, in the crew cab configuration, the F-350 gets an 84-in. CA option, with the F-550 getting both 60-in. and 84-in. options – again, for either the 4x2 or 4x4 models of those trucks, said Castelli.
