An 80-plus city nationwide tour is on tap for a special display truck rigged with Grote Industries’ new Trilliant LED [light emitting diode] WhiteLight work lamp.

Starting from Grote’s headquarters in Madison, IN, the custom-designed display vehicle – equipped with an inflatable mobile theater – will travel west across the northern U.S. and parts of Canada this summer. It will makes its way through the southern states during its return leg in the fall and winter, with the last stop tentatively scheduled for mid-December.

“The Trilliant Technology Tour will allow us to take the LED WhiteLight work lamp directly to our customers’ location,” said John Grote, vp-sales and marketing. “We will be reaching OEs, distributors, fleets and end-users in ways that are simply not possible through traditional means, like trade shows.”

The tour vehicle, he noted, is equipped with 34 exterior work lamps to allow visitors to see the lamps up close, enabling them to accurately judge the differences in optical characteristics such as beam intensity, color and pattern evenness in both Grote work lamps and competing products. Each Trilliant lamp on the vehicle generates 3,200 lumens, said Scott Robertson, product manager of forward and interior lighting at Grote.

“Lighting is a visual experience and one we often take for granted,” Grote added. “People are stunned when they see what our engineered lighting solutions have brought to the work lamp arena.”
