INDIANAPOLIS. A new heavy-duty inground scissor lift from Rotary Lift is designed to improve productivity and shorten vehicle downtime. The EFX60, introduced here this week as part of the National Truck Equipment Assn.’s Work Truck Show, includes a number of patented features to make lift setup and operation faster and easier, Rotary Lift said.

The EFX60 uses a universal style lifting saddle with flip-up adapters to make setup easier. It is also compatible with a wide selection of lightweight adapters, including many third-party products. There is an infinite adapter adjustment range to allow technicians to place the adapters in the proper position. The adapters also swivel to allow a vehicle to be picked up by either the frame or axle.

The scissor lift can pick up any vehicle weighing up to 60,000 lbs.

“The biggest complaint we hear about other inground scissor lifts is that they are difficult and time-consuming to set up,” said Doug Spiller, heavy-duty product manager. “We designed the EFX60 to be faster and easier. Technicians can quickly set up the EFX60 with one hand. That means they get to work faster, for less downtime.”

The lift uses heavier, larger centering links that are 33% stronger than those on comparable lifts, the company said, adding that the pivot pins are also stronger – about 37% more. Cover plates have been reinforced as well.
