Betts Spring has unveiled a new spring-loaded mud flap hanger using proprietary Smart A17 technology for lighter weight and corrosion resistance.

The hangers have been field-tested and offer extended lifecycles, Betts said. The Smart design uses an “open wound coil spring with unrivaled rate recovery and yield performance.” The technology has allowed Betts to reduce the weight by 5% over current spring-loaded mud flap hangers, the company said.

The Smart A17 technology products will replace the company’s full line of straight arm, tapered arm and angle down spring-loaded mud flap hangers.
