The U.S. Army Contracting Command has awarded Mack Defense, a division of Mack Trucks, a contract to supply the Mack Granite to West-Mark.

West-Mark manufactures tank transportation equipment for security forces serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other countries. The 3-year contract has a total value of $37.8 million with a two-year option. As part of the contract, Mack will supply spare parts and in-country service points.

“Our rugged Granite truck has proven itself in both military and commercial service around the world and will excel in this application” said Tom Kelly, Mack Defense senior vice president. “Mack’s 111 years of truck manufacturing experience complements West-Mark’s expertise perfectly on this program.”

Deliveries will start in early 2012.
