Maverick Transportation will take delivery of the first of 350 new trucks in the first quarter of 2012.

The vehicles, 2012 and 2013 Freightliner Cascadias equipped with electronic onboard recorders, auxiliary power units, collision avoidance, and roll stability control, will use an Eaton electronic shift transmission.

Maverick provides OTR and dedicated service to the flatbed, glass, natural gas and temperature controlled transportation markets. It said 190 of the units will be replacement vehicles, but the remaining 160 will support company growth.

“Maverick’s latest truck order means the vast majority of our fleet will be 2010 year models or newer,” said vice president of maintenance Mike Jeffress. “We want our professional drivers and customers alike to enjoy the best equipment in the transportation industry.”

Maverick has over 1,200 units.
