Peterbilt has added Model 387 to the list of vehicles that can be equipped with Caterpillar's “Cat Messenger” system for easy access to real-time engine performance and fuel economy data. The system monitors information such as fuel economy, idle time, average speed, oil pressure and temperature, displaying analysis on an in-dash LCD monitor. Other features include PM reminders, real-time diagnostic information and engine fault codes and descriptions to help expedite troubleshooting. www.peterbilt.com
