Kenworth Truck Co. announced a number of new options for its 2005 model year T300 at the National Truck Equipment Assn. (NTEA) convention in Baltimore last month.

Two new axle options will be available on the medium-duty vehicle: a heavier front axle (14,600 lb.) and a rear axle rated at 30,000-lb. for single-axle applications.

Other options include frame inserts for customers adding cranes or hanging forklifts off the back of the truck's body, and an air accessory package for trucks spec'd with hydraulic brakes.

Corner windows for better visibility will be available, as well as one-piece stainless steel-clad aluminum bumpers with fog lights and a wire mesh grille with a polished stainless steel trim.

The T300 is available as a straight truck or tractor, in GVWs ranging from 26,000 to 54,000 lb.
