Fleetguard has announced an array of product news. Topping the list is an alliance formed with Davco Technology to jointly supply highly specialized fuel filtration systems to the global market. Key elements of the agreement are:

  • Conversion of Davco's fuel heater/water separator/filter product line to use Fleetguard's proprietary StrataPore synthetic filter media

  • Expansion of Davco's Diesel Pro, Fuel Pro and Sea Pro remote-mount fuel heater/water separation systems to more applications

    Fleetguard said its air filter system now features its new, patented OptiAir technology, which it calls “the next generation in air intake design.”

    The company said OptiAir delivers lower air restriction for maximum engine horsepower and outperforms conventional radial seal filters in delivering higher air flows through increased outlet area.

    Other key OptiAir benefits include:

  • Extends service intervals thanks to up to 20% higher filter capacity;

  • Smaller package size to better fit today's shrinking engine compartments;

  • Reduction in the time required to service the system.

Fleetguard said its new Enviroguard open crankcase ventilation system for Class 5-8 trucks uses patented technology to control oil drip and filter crankcase aerosols (“blowby”) in diesel engines up to 640 hp.

The company said Enviroguard offers improved engine performance and boasts a design that requires no maintenance or servicing and will last the life of the engine.

According to Fleetguard, it is now the first coolant/chemical supplier to offer a line of recycled coolants, thanks to an agreement with EET Corp, an antifreeze recycler.

Fleetguard said its FleetCool and Universal brands of recycled coolant meet the requirements for virgin antifreeze. It will become available in May.

Also new from Fleetguard is a new Centriguard centrifugal lube filtration series. The company said the CH41111 uses patented SpiraTec technology to “provide the maximum soot removal efficiency” on the market today.

Fleetguard said the new filtration system has a one-liter capacity and can reduce soot levels by up to 50%. The company said it delivers extended service intervals, lower replacement parts cost and lower labor cost to service.

The CH41111 also reduces environmental waste because the system is disposable and can also be incinerated.
