To breathe some new life into a venerable truck tire brand, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. will market its latest tractor steer tire under the Dunlop name. The Dunlop SP384 steer tire is a mid-priced product that features enhanced casing, tread design and pressure distribution groove technology to help lower cost-per-mile and provide more miles to removal, according to Goodyear.

Available in standard and low-profile sizes, the new steer tire has 18/32-in tread depth and five-rib construction to help optimize tread wear. The tire's pressure distribution groove helps eliminate shoulder wear, while its lateral grooves and “pin blades” on the shoulder help enhance traction.

Manufactured at Goodyear's Danville, VA, plant, the Dunlop SP382 is backed by a five-year casing warranty and a two-retread maximum limited warranty.
