Carlisle Motion Control Industries is launching a new line of OE heavy-duty brake shoes made with induction-hardened cam and anchor ends to prevent mushrooming and improve durability. The new shoes will receive an E-coating, a process by which paint is more completely bonded to the steel and thus better able to resist environmental conditions. In addition, they will be “coined” after welding to prevent distortion and deformation during the welding process. The brake shoes will be available through the company's Altec Brake Systems division.
