Kelly Tires, a signature brand for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., has introduced a new steer tire that offers fleets excellent miles-to-removal, with improved handling, durability and retreadability. The Kelly Armorsteel KLHA tire features a wear-resistant tread compound and reinforced belt package fortified with super-tensile steel belts. It's available in standard and low-profile sizes.
“The belt package protects against punctures and tears, increasing the tire's retreadability,” said Donn Kramer, director of commercial tire marketing. Lateral tread groves are designed to improve traction while incorporating a design that promotes extended treadwear. The shoulder rib design includes a pressure distribution groove that decreases initiation of irregular shoulder wear.
