Introduced in June to replace the Peterbilt Model 330, the Model 335 has helped Peterbilt Motors expand its medium-duty market share in the U.S. and Canada from 4.3% in 2003 to 4.6%, according to Bruce Ewald, assistant general manager.
The Model 335 features a number of exterior and interior improvements, including a hood made of Metton and a variety of suspension options.
Powered by either a Cummins ISC or Caterpillar C7 diesel, the Model 335 can also be ordered for direct delivery to Peterbilt dealers with a variety of vocational bodies including a Heil dump, London mixer and American Body Co. van. A 4-door crew cab and extended cab are also offered under an agreement with Bentz Transport Products.
