The HT Original dry freight trailer, produced by Hyundai Translead, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Co., has been approved for the Environmental Protection Agency's SmartWay Transport Partnership Program.

“As a top U.S. trailer manufacturer, we believe working with the EPA was a project we needed to take very seriously for the betterment of our environment and the transportation industry,” said Stuart James, vp-sales for Hyundai Translead. “This is a great option for customers looking to go green while lowering their fuel costs.”

The company, which manufactures dry and refrigerated van trailers, domestic containers, container chassis and converter dollies, can now produce the trailer to EPA SmartWay specifications for customers who wish to reduce emissions and save fuel.
