Nitrite-free ELC from Delo

Chevron Products is now offering a Delo-brand extended life coolant/antifreeze that is nitrite-free. Referred to as Delo ELC-NF, the coolant is recommended for on- and off-road heavy-duty equipment requiring a nitrite-free OAT formula.

Service life is 600,000 miles, 12,000 hours or six years, with no chemical extender needed, according to Chevron. Delo ELC-NF offers corrosion protection and lower electrical conductivity; protection against pitting and erosion; and a silicate-free formula that improves the life of the water pump. The new formula is compatible with Delo ELC, which does contain nitrite.
