An agreement between SkyGuard and SpeedGauge will result in real-time analysis of speed data by SkyGuard fleet customers. Speed and location data collected by GPS units will be forwarded to SpeedGauge, whose web-based software application will analyze those data points in real time.

“We at SkyGuard are excited about the opportunity to work with SpeedGauge and pleased to add this enhancement to our product line,” said Gary Wilfert, SkyGuard COO. “SpeedGauge's data analysis service will provide our customers with extremely valuable information about their fleet's daily activities that can be used to lower costs as well as increase productivity, safety and customer satisfaction.”

SkyGuard captures speed and location information, but until now that information was not able to identify if drivers were exceeding the posted speed limit.

“Speeding is a leading cause of vehicle accidents and we are pleased that our service can make a difference, not just on Interstates but also on rural highways and other surface streets,” said Jonathan Hubbard, president of SpeedGauge. www.skyguard.com
