Touring Paccar’s Renton distribution center

June 24, 2016
Paccar Parts recently provided a tour its newest regional parts distribution center (PDC) located in Renton, WA, not far from Seattle; one of 17 distribution centers serving Kenworth Truck Co. and Peterbilt Motors Co. dealers in the Northwestern U.S. and in Western Canada. The 160,000 sq.-ft. PDC, which opened for business in April, incorporates a number of energy efficiency enhancements such as 320 light emitting diode (LED) lights with motion sensors and 120 skylights that use “daylight harvesting” technology to reduce energy usage by some 40%.
