After weeks spent repairing roads and other vital infrastructure damaged or wiped out by historic flooding back in October – flooding so extreme following three days of heavy rainfall that they could be classified as a 1-in-9,000 year event – South Carolina National Guard troops packed up their equipment and headed back home ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
