Yokohama Tire Corporation has been named the “preferred tire vendor” for Gemini Motor Transport, Love’s primary fuel hauler. Gemini will now run on Yokohama’s 101ZL Spec-2 steer tires, 902L UWB drive tires and RY407 UWB trailer tires. All three tires are EPA SmartWay-verified.

“We’re honored Gemini Motor Transport selected us to be their preferred tire vendor,” said Tommy Bazzell, Yokohama director of national fleet, truck stop and commercial OEM business. “They are an exceptional trucking company with more than 550 tractor/trailer combinations and 900 professional drivers.”

“Thanks to Yokohama for providing us with the top-of-the-line commercial tires we need,” said Brent Bergevin, Gemini Motor Transport vice president of transportation. “We look forward to working with them on tire solutions to help our bottom line.”

According to Yokohama:

  • The 101ZL Spec-2 is Yokohama’s next-generation long-haul steer tire and features an advanced tread compound, improved casing design and even better retreadability.
  • The 902L Ultra Wide Base is a long-haul/regional drive tire that, according to the company, delivers “superior traction and high mileage.”
  • The RY407 Ultra Wide Base trailer tire features an ultra-low profile that offers fuel efficiency and long treadlife.
