The trade group American Trucking Assns. (ATA) is restructuring its executive suite with several new promotions.
Chris Spear is taking the reins as ATA’s senior vp for legislative affairs, while Darrin Roth is stepping up to become the trade group’s vp of highway policy, the organization said.
“Chris and Darrin have done, and will continue to do yeoman’s work in crafting ATA’s position on important issues, which will be critical as we move forward with a highway reauthorization later this year,” noted Bill Graves, ATA’s president and CEO, in a statement.
Spear, who joined ATA in 2013, will continue to lead ATA’s efforts on Capitol Hill. Roth has been with the trade group since 1996 and has spent the much of the past two decades its main “point person” on highway issues ranging from infrastructure finance and speed regulations to truck productivity and congestion.
