Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems has named Thomas Doll vice president-global purchasing excellence.

Doll – who joined Bendix in October 2013, brings two decades of broad international business experience in global supply chain management in the automotive, heavy truck, and steel tube industries. In his new position, he oversees material cost and supplier relationship management.

Doll comes to Bendix from Benteler Global Procurement GmbH, where he served as chief procurement officer, based in Paderborn, Germany. Prior to joining Benteler in 2008, Doll spent 11 years with the Detroit Diesel Corporation, filling a variety of roles, including purchasing manager, director of product purchasing, and director of materials and logistics.
