Feb. 6, 2013

With 145 years under its belt, the Betts Spring Co. has taken steps to position itself for the future, and that includes a new name and logo. The company is now formally known as Betts Co. and will use the corporate tagline, “Improving the Way Things Move Since 1868.”

The company was founded by William Michael Betts.

“We have come far in our 145-year history, evolving into a diversified manufacturing and distribution concern with four operating units in 11 locations,” said Mike Betts, president & CEO. ”Our branding initiative consolidates our business into three distinctly branded operating divisions which position Betts Company for future growth in transportation and industrial markets. Improving the Way Things Move is a part of everything we do and is the foundation of who we are and what we believe.”

The company announced BettsHD during Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week in Las Vegas. This will serve as the company’s consolidated operating division for spray suppression and fender products. BettsHD combines the legacy brands of Betts VCM division and Life-Time Fenders into a single reliable source for safety-related products focused on heavy duty tractor/trailer applications.

The company’s two additional operating divisions are Betts Truck Parts and Service and Betts Spring Manufacturing.

Betts Truck Parts and Service include parts and service for nearly every part under the frame rail of a medium or heavy duty truck.

Betts Spring Manufacturing designs and manufactures custom wire, coil and leaf springs for a variety of industries and product applications.
