DDC FPO unveils iCapture back-office freight billing solution

Oct. 5, 2014

San Diego, CA. DDC FPO, a Divison of the DDC Group, chose the ATA Management Conference & Exhibition to officially introduce its new back-office solution for freight billing called iCapture. According to Chad Crotty, vice president of sales for the company, the new automated solution can eliminate up to 90% of the keystrokes required to handle the billing process manually thanks to “highly intelligent, context-based technology” developed to reduce human error and streamline effort.

iCapture for Freight Billing is designed to capture bill of lading data from critical fields that other solutions may not, according to DDC FPO, such as cash on delivery (COD), hazardous material details, accessorials and hand-written information, using optical and intelligent character recognition. The program is 100% customizable and “learns” with every bill of lading it processes, allowing for significantly enhanced quality in overall business process management, as well scalability and accelerated turnaround time.

In a press conference Saturday afternoon, Crotty told the audience that it does not matter how paper bills of lading documents are scanned nor which file formats are used to save the data—iCapture can handle any digital file format.

Luna Boyd, senior project manager for DDC USA, will be offering demonstrations of the new iCapture program during the ATA conference—booth number 1133.
