MacroPoint announced it is sponsoring the sale of collectible trucks at the third annual Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) gala benefiting Wreaths Across America (WAA).“MacroPoint is proud to help TCA support placing remembrance wreaths on gravestones at Arlington National Cemetery and at more than 1,000 veterans’ cemeteries nationwide,” said Bennett Adelson, president. “Partnerships are important to us, both in our business and our community. Supporting causes like Wreaths Across America through the Truckload Carriers Association’s Truckload of Respect program means a great deal to us.”This year, MacroPoint is funding the purchase of limited release collectible trucks that are being sold during the annual gala organized by the Truckload Carriers Association to support Wreaths Across America. Each truck purchased provides funds for two wreaths to be placed on gravestones at Arlington National Cemetery. As an added bonus at the gala, one of the collectible trucks will be “hauling” $100.TCA sponsors and organizes the annual gala benefiting Wreaths Across America. All funds generated at the gala, including all proceeds from the sale of the collectible trucks, go directly to WAA. TCA created the gala in recognition of the trucking industry's close connection with veterans, who often choose to make their careers in trucking after serving in the military.Truckload of Respect is an outreach project conducted and managed by the Truckload Carriers Association to ensure that every remembrance wreath donated for placement on a veteran's grave as part of the Wreaths Across America project is delivered to its destination without cost to the charity or the cemetery. TCA works through its member companies and the trucking industry to secure volunteer commitments to haul wreaths, and also coordinates logistics for Wreaths Across America. In 2014, Wreaths Across America and Truckload of Respect hauled more than 230,000 wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery and delivered 490,000 wreaths to 1,034 cemetery locations across the country. The wreaths were hauled by 160 volunteer trucking companies.Wreaths can also be purchased here.
