Marathon Data Systems has named Bill Hazard vice president of engineering. Hazard most recently led the research, development and quality engineering teams at Infragistics.

Hazard has more than 20 years of experience creating and managing software teams and solutions. He will lead Marathon’s R&D and technology teams across all product lines.
Prior to Infragisticis, Hazard was the chief technology officer at Wireless Generation, an educational services and content company dedicated to using information in the classroom for improving education. In addition, he previously served as vice president of engineering at Register.com, as well as vice president of technology for Kaplan University.
