The state of trucking tomorrow

Sept. 17, 2014

In a special webinar today at 2:00 p.m. EDT, Dan Murray, vice president of the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI), and co-speaker Paul Newbourne, senior vice president logistics operations for Armada Supply Chain Solutions, will take a close-up look at the unique circumstances facing fleets in America today and the equally unique opportunities to thrive by responding in new ways to today’s challenges.

According to Murray, even in this so-called “good economy,” fleet bankruptcies have suddenly been increasing. Fleets are NOT going to see cheaper trucks and fuel, a rush of people begging to become drivers, disappearing regulations, or a Camelot-like sweeping away of traffic congestion before dawn everyday any time soon. Instead, the job of trucking has become tougher and tougher and the results have been devastating for many carriers.

Newbourne, an executive at a major 3PL, will give carriers a special, other-side-of-the-fence, look at the business of moving freight and the game-changing opportunities for carriers and everyone else  in the supply chain, from shippers to receivers.

This free webinar is being sponsored by Telogis and is presented by Fleet Owner.
