Stemco names new VP, general manager of suspension products

Stemco recently appointed Donnie Wells to vice president and general manager of Stemco Suspension Products.In his new role, Wells will lead the company’s suspension products business, which includes the Stemco Kaiser, Stemco Gaff, Stemco Equipment, as well as the newly acquired Goodyear Air Springs product families, the company said.“The integration of Goodyear Air Springs has added a new dimension of product offerings to STEMCO’s suspension products,” said Todd Anderson, president. “Donnie’s strong track record of industry experience and his leadership will help us continue that integration as we work to further strengthen STEMCO’s market-leading position in the commercial trucking industry.”Wells, who assumes his new role immediately, comes to Stemco from Compressor Products International (CPI), another member of the EnPro family. According to the company, he began his career as a design engineer at Dana Corporation and initially joined STEMCO in 1998 before joining CPI in 2010. Wells replaces Jon Cocco, who joined Stemco from Veyance Technologies during the company’s acquisition of Goodyear Air Springs in July 2015.“Jon has been extremely helpful during the complex process of integrating our new air springs products,” Anderson added. “His professionalism and knowledgeable support during the past few months have been instrumental to this transition. We wish him the very best.”
