The state of Massachusetts, through the state Dept. of Environmental Protection, will subsidize 75% of the cost of the purchase and installation of the Aura/Zanotti all-electric transport refrigeration (eTru) system. The offer is open to a limited number of “qualified end-users,” according to Aura Systems.
The opportunity is being made through an agreement Zanotti East reached with the MassDEP. Zanotti East collaborated with Aura Systems on the eTru, using Zanotti’s refrigeration technology and Aura’s mobile power system AuraGen.
The unit is designed for midsize trucks, offering fuel savings of 0.5 gal. per hour per truck, saving potentially 1,000 gals. of diesel fuel per year per truck, Aura said.
