Vedder Transport orders 50 Peterbilt LNG trucks

Vedder Transport, a Canadian-based transporter of food grade products in bulk liquid or dry states, has placed an order for 50 Peterbilt Model 386 trucks powered by liquefied natural gas-fueled engines

Vedder Transport, a Canadian-based transporter of food grade products in bulk liquid or dry states, has placed an order for 50 Peterbilt Model 386 trucks powered by liquefied natural gas-fueled engines.

The trucks are powered by the Westport HD system, which includes a GX 15-liter engine, Westport fuel injectors, LNG fuel tanks with integrated cryogenic fuel pumps, and associated electrical components

“Vedder Transportation is committed to reducing transportation-related emissions, reducing fuel management expenses and improving air quality for future generations,” said Fred Zweep, Vedder Transportation Group president. “Peterbilt’s Model 386 LNG truck not only helps us achieve this goal, but it also allows us to provide reliable services to our customers.”
