Customized from-the-factory offerings include new Big Horn and Lone Star packages along with Ram Sport upgrade.

Ram Truck is introducing several new factory-built custom packages for the 2018 model Ram 1500 pickup.

The first is a new Big Horn Black package offered exclusively in black, with all-black exterior features including a black grille, black badging, black wheels and black headlamp bezels.

The second – available only in Texas – is a new Lone Star Black package for 2018 Ram 1500 models.

Ram said both its new Big Horn and Lone Star Black models start at $44,290 plus a $1,395 destination charge.

Also new for 2018 is an upgrade to the Ram Sport model, which will come with a “refreshed appearance” that includes new body-colored R-A-M lettered grille.

The Ram Sport is a specific model of Ram 1500 and an option package on 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty trucks, available on Big Horn, Lone Star and Laramie models, the OEM said.

Ram Sport packages are available in Blue Streak (1500 only), Bright Silver Metallic, Bright White, Brilliant Black Crystal, Delmonico Red, Flame Red (1500 only), Granite Crystal Metallic, Maximum Steel Metallic (1500 only) and Pearl White (HD Laramie only) and True Blue (1500 only).

The Ram 1500 Sport starts at $44,395 plus a $1,395 destination charge, while the Ram Heavy Duty Sport Appearance Package starts at $45,335 plus the $1,395 destination charge.
