Melton updates Horizon software

Melton Technologies has released an enhanced vehicle maintenance and tire tracking module update to its existing Horizon fleet management applications. According to the company, the update will integrate with the dispatch, billing and driver settlements applications on the existing software.

According to the company, features of the new software include integrated tire tracking, automated preventive maintenance, purchase orders for parts and repair items and a maintenance tracer feature for easy tracking of repairs done to a fleet’s equipment.

“In these difficult freight times, the fleet must manage all of its expenses with a finely sharpened pencil, and cannot afford to be mismanaging its equipment maintenance program,” said Melton Technologies vp Ron Hudnell. “We are very pleased to be able to offer this new update as a no-charge option to our fleets, and know they will quickly see the maintenance management benefits.”
