McDonough, GA-based Bennett Motor Express is implementing the Transflo Express truckstop scanning solution from Pegasus TransTech in its fleet of approximately 570 owner-operator power units. The company, a division of Bennett International Group, hauls flatbed, heavy, and oversize loads for business and government customers. The carrier noted it plans to expand its use of Transflo Express to two other of its transportation divisions.

Transflo Express lets drivers scan signed delivery receipts and other essential paperwork at participating truckstops and instantly transmit the docs to company headquarters for billing and settlement.

"It's certainly going to improve the process for settlements for our drivers," said Asia Grimes, director of marketing & public relations for Bennett International Group.

"We've always done what we call the fast-pay program,” he continues. “When a driver's paperwork is received, the driver can be paid that day. For most of our owner operators this is a better, faster way to be paid the same day."

Grimes said that Bennett is implementing Transflo Express first in its Bennett Motor Express division, but will make the solution available as well in its Bennett Driveaway and Bennett Truck Transport divisions. Bennett Driveaway provides qualified drivers to ferry powered equipment like trucks and road-legal construction vehicles to end users or job sites. Bennett Truck Transport delivers manufactured homes and towable recreational vehicles.
