GeoLogic adds touch screen

Multi-mode communications and tracking systems provider GeoLogic Solutions has introduced a Windows-based touch screen color display unit (CDU) for its MobileMax system‥ The CDU will be available as a display option for new customers and as an upgrade for existing users.

Along with the new display, GeoLogic has also introduced an electronic driver log feature for MobileMax. Other applications such as onboard navigation and text-to-speech will be available in early 2007, according to the company.

“The new CDU offers fleets a range of enhanced applications,” says John Lewis, president and CEO, noting that it enables electronic driver logs, text-to-speech, mapping and onboard navigation. “Drivers will like the ease of use of the graphical touch screen while the addition of electronic log capabilities will allow drivers to handle less paperwork.”
