Fleet software developer TMW Systems says it has signed its 500th client and in the month of April alone added nearly 4,000 trucks to the 120,000 vehicles managed by its solutions. Eleven new customers in that one-month period included bulk, flatbed, van and private fleets, according to the company.

Web-based Carrier411 Services Inc., a registry monitoring service, has released its new motor carrier rating system, allowing member brokers and shippers to post and read reports on experiences with carriers. Two private fleets — Trinity Industries and General Aluminum — have installed the PeopleNet onboard computing and mobile communications systems, according to the company. A third private fleet, Shaw Industries, has added the company's onboard event recording (OER) to PeopleNet units used by its interplant hauling division. The new system feature offers second-by-second recorded data to help managers reconstruct accidents and review driver performance.

Penske Logistic Europe has chosen TWMSuite from TMW Systems as its enterprise management software. With fleet operations based in The Netherlands, it is a subsidiary of Penske Logistics.
