Prepass package for small fleets

PrePass and BestPass have announced they've agreed to offer their weigh-station bypass and toll-collection services as a package to motor carriers operating five or fewer trucks.

“Each day, carriers waste valuable time and money at toll booths and weigh stations,” says Bill Joyce, CEO of BestPass. “Carriers still paying cash for tolls may be spending up to 30% more than necessary as well as wasting time and fuel.” And according to Dick Landis, president & CEO of Help Inc., which offers PrePass, each unnecessary stop at a weigh station can cost operators about $5.00.

Joyce says that the combined offering provides for toll savings of 5 to 30% over cash in: Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. He adds that the package not only saves smaller fleets on toll costs, but also offer a single source for toll and weigh-station bypass administration and billing.
