A new release of PC*Miler/FleetCommander 18 provides a graphic view of a fleet's truck locations by combining location data from wireless fleet management systems with routing, mileage and mapping data from the PC*Miler database, according to developer ALK Technologies Inc.

New features for the tracking software include routing for 53-ft./102-in. trailers in the continental U.S., the ability to combine various types of route requests, position histories for individual trucks and add-on modules for Canadian street-level data and approved hazardous materials routing.

ALK says the new release also includes an improved search function, automatic out-of-route alerts and seamless interfaces for leading transportation management systems.
