Xata Corp. has created a self-service reporting tool that will allow Xatanet users to create additional customer-defined reports tailored to the needs of their fleet operations, the company said.

Xatanet Self-Service Reporting allows customers to perform mathematical functions on existing fleet data, specifying parameters or filters for accessing data. Reports can then be displayed and saved in either PDF or Excel format.

“Flexibility is the key benefit of the improved reporting tool,” said Tom Flies, senior vp, product management, Xata Corp. “With fleet operations constantly evolving and an ever increasing demand for detailed visibility into fleet performance, it is important that our customers have the ability to create on-the-fly reports that help with the daily management of their fleets.”

The enhanced reporting capabilities will be part of the Xatanet 4.3 release, which will be available in November 2008.
