CellStart Corp., a wireless logistics service provider, has agreed to distribute Trimble's onboard tracking and management hardware, including its Televisant Mobile Resource Management System and CrossCheck, a multi-mode wireless tracking unit that can communicate over packet radio, cellular digital packet data (CDPD) and advanced CDMA wireless networks.
Under the agreement, CellStart will provide global distribution, customization, fulfillment and inventory management services for fleets and vehicle manufacturers.
Televisant is currently used for fleet management and security applications by ready-mix haulers, refuse collectors, utility companies, rental fleets and field service operators. Those applications include remote vehicle monitoring, two-way messaging, mapping and real-time tracking.
