Eaton Corp. has formed a joint venture with FAW Jiefang Automotive Co., located in Changchun, China, to produce and sell medium-duty transmissions in that country. Called FAW Eaton Transmission Co. Ltd., the new enterprise will produce a complete line of medium-duty transmissions for trucks and buses. Approval from the Chinese government is expected in the next few months.
The Bendix AD-IS air dryer is now standard on all Kenworth heavy-duty trucks. The AD-IS is fully integrated and has a spin-off cartridge for quick and easy servicing; it replaces the AD-IS model.
