Sterling is offering Mercedes-Benz 6-speed manual transmissions on its Acterra Class 5-8 trucks. Direct-drive MBT520 models will be available for vehicles up to 40,000 lb. GCW, with engines producing up to 520 lb.-ft. of peak torque. For trucks up to 60,000 lb. GCW, the option is an over-drive MBT660, for engines delivering up to 660 lb.-ft. of torque.
